Fast-Casual Brunch Franchise Recognized for Use of Ghost Kitchens

PHOENIX – Daily Jam recently earned its spot on Foodservice Equipment Reports’ Inaugural 2020 Innovators Awards for its creation of two ghost kitchens in early 2020.

The Innovators Awards are compiled based on the originality and creativity of the innovation. Tapped as one of the five winners, Daily Jam demonstrated a clever and creative use of an existing second hot line to implement two ghost kitchens, also known as virtual-only concepts in 2020.

“We initially added the second hot line to better serve our customers on busy weekends and to help with catering and large orders,” said Berekk Blackwell, president of Daily Jam. “But then we thought, how can we use this during the week? The answer was our two virtual concepts that became a lifeline during the pandemic.”

Daily Jam launched both CinnaSwirl and Mindful Bowls in early 2020 prior to the pandemic. With the demand for third-party delivery increasing, Daily Jam’s ghost kitchens gave the brunch concept a leg up in ensuing turbulent times. The ghost kitchens allowed Daily Jam to sustain their operations and retain more staff.

Daily Jam is now offering the opportunity for potential franchisees to grow the concept nationwide and is seeking candidates with previous experience in restaurant operations. Potential candidates must also be eligible to obtain a liquor license and thrive in a fast-paced, energetic atmosphere.
